Abstract
A compilation of the poetry section for the issue dedicated to the International Year of Forests. It includes a transcription of a traditional Embera Wera chant by Hermelina Sinigüí about the historical displacement of her people; poems dedicated to trees by authors such as Gabriela Mistral, Antonio Machado, Mario Benedetti, and Juan Ramón Jiménez; and the essay "Guarded Prognosis" by Darío Sevillano Álvarez, a personal reflection with an apocalyptic tone on environmental and astronomical phenomena the author considers signs of the end of times. Note: the essay reflects the author's personal interpretations and does not represent scientific consensus.
