Middle Northwest Antioquia: Integrated Management District of the Páramo and High-Andean Forest System

Abstract

As determined by Civil Society, the DMI (Integrated Management District) allows uses compatible with sustainable traditional production or with productive-reconversion mechanisms in some sectors, while in others it holds potential for the provision of environmental goods and services or for strict conservation; these categories arise from a zoning scheme developed by the Regional Autonomous Corporations during the official declaration process for this conservation designation.
