Abstract

Written by an economist, an industrial designer, and an engineer affiliated with Coyote Entretenimiento, this article reflects on recreational and theme parks as spaces that promote psychophysical health and collective well-being. The authors present the practical experience of the El Trébol park, and develop a proposal for a mining-themed park as a strategy to dignify mining activity and shift the social prejudices associated with it. The text concludes by presenting theme parks as an opportunity offering dual benefits: educational-cultural and regional economic development.
