Abstract
Written by the Communications Chief of CORNARE, this article presents the Environmental Merit Award program, an annual incentive the Corporation has granted for 25 years to municipalities, community organizations, and educational institutions in eastern Antioquia recognized for their environmental management. The author documents the 2008 edition of the program, describing the evaluation criteria used. The text presents the final results of the call, evaluated among 40 submitted projects, with the municipality of San Vicente and other organizations as winners, also highlighting the co-financing of 24 wastewater treatment plants in the region.
