Abstract
Written by technicians from CORNARE, CORPOICA, and SENA, this article presents the guidelines of the Technical Cooperation Agreement for the Development of Sustainable Agriculture in Eastern Antioquia (1999-2006), signed by ten public, academic, and community entities. The authors document the plan's origin in a cycle of five subregional workshops held in 1995-1996, and describe the seven resulting structural programs: agroecological training, applied research, technology transfer, food security, genetic-resource management, natural-resource management, and marketing-commercialization. The text details each program's objectives, principles, and specific actions, with emphasis on food security and natural-resource management.
