Abstract
Written by an agronomic engineer, this article analyzes the underutilization of local resources in Colombian agroecology projects, in contrast to the widespread practice of substituting commercial inputs with other purchased inputs. The author documents the ecological risk of importing microorganism strains from other ecosystems, conceptually distinguishes between "biological" and "ecological," and presents the potential of local minerals as a nutrient source compared to costly commercial fertilizer solutions. The author also questions the imported practice of charging a premium for agroecological food, arguing that it would deepen access inequality in Colombia's already unequal context.
