Abstract
This article recounts the history of PRECOAMBIENTAL, a recyclers' organization from Medellín's Santo Domingo Savio neighborhood, from its formation in 1992 to its legal consolidation in 1997. It describes the difficulties faced due to territorial violence during a project funded by Ecofondo, and details the organization's current economic consolidation alongside the Metrocable station.
