Abstract
The use of environmental seals in industry, and in the chemical sector in general, is a decision that contributes to environmental conservation while also helping to differentiate a product in the market. This document provides a brief review of the evolution of so-called eco-labels, eco-seals, or ecological logos, examining their classification, meaning, and uses, and reviewing, through several commercial examples, the use of some of these labels and seals across different industrial sectors and regions of the world, including our own country.
